Sunday Night Playlist
Tonight’s playlist is a bit of a mixed bag but it’s full of just found/refound artists/songs I love! Hope you find something new to love too!
No Room For Doubt | Lianne La Havas
Remember that name because you’re going to be seeing a lot more of it! Lianne has this beautiful, rich voice and this song is heartbreaking and sweet - like something I’d expect to hear in a little French cafe late at night. Also check out her more upbeat yet equally addictive song Forget.
Born To Die | Lana Del Rey
I am totally on the Lana Del Rey bandwagon! I have been listening to this album all weekend and I have the chorus to this song stuck in my head. Amazing film clip too.
Call Your Girlfriend | Erato
I am a huge fan of Robyn and love her new album, especially Call Your Girlfriend. I am also a huge fan of this cover by Erato - gorgeous gorgeous harmonies! And the fact that they can sing like that and not screw up their butter container percussion? Amazing!
Poison & Wine | The Civil Wars
I can’t remember where I first heard this song - I think it was from the short lived but awesome tv show Mercy. I re-heard it this weekend whilst going through all my old mix tapes and fell in love again. Try the rest of their music too - you won’t be disappointed.
Stone Rollin’ | Raphael Saadiq
This guy is my new favourite guy. I love everything about him & his music - I feel like this would have been played at one of those secret dance parties in Dirty Dancing. Can’t keep typing, must go listen to all of his songs. Bye!
