Cake Pops | Bakerella
So… I bought a cake pop machine. Yikes. It was one of those moments where my impulse buying over-rode my sensibilities. Anyway, I now have a cake pop machine so I’m going to embrace it! Bakerella has always been my go to for cake ideas and I’m not positive about this but her’s was the first place I ever saw cake pops. She makes truly amazing versions like the bluebird ones above. I think I’m still at the beginner phase because mine seem to drop off of the stick! Oh well, practice makes delicious cake pops! Does anyone else have a machine or has made pops? What are your tips and tricks?

My niece’s birthday is a fortnight away, and even though she’s having a party on Sunday, her birthday is on Saturday so I really want to make her a special cake for her. I love traditions, and I think making this fr her birthday each year would be lovely - I could even make the dots in different colours! But I quite like the pastel colours in this one. I will have to practice doing dots before attempting a whole cake - unfortunately I’ll have to make quite a few cupcakes to be able to do that!
