If you’re wanting something to decorate your room but are not keen on bunting or pom poms, how about a pretty yarn chandelier? This would be so fun for a craft room, or for a baby’s room! In HGTV’s DIY, they create the ball entirely from yarn, but if I was doing this, I’d buy some foam balls in different sizes and use those as my base to save on yarn.
Modern Brass Chandelier | Little Green Notebook
I love chandeliers. I love the giant, big fancy ones dripping in crystals, I love the ornate metal ones with flowers, and the little ones who add just enough sparkle to a room. But of course, sometimes a fancy drippy chandelier doesn’t suit a space or a style of home. But that doesn’t mean you can’t still have one! This modern style chandelier has great smooth lines, and the benefit of multiple bulbs like a normal chandelier, great for those dark rooms that need more than one bulb!
Paper Clip Chandelier | Mosaic Works
Yep, that’s right - paperclips! This is truly one of the coolest DIYs I’ve ever seen. It took over 14,700 paperclips to make this. That is true commitment to a project - I’ve given up over a hour on some projects! There is even a quick guide on how to create your own, though you would of course have to modify for your chandelier. If you try this - good luck! And make sure you share the pics!
Bird Chandelier | Daily Danny
This DIY is blowing up on Pintrest right now, but for y'all that aren’t on there here it is for you! So simple to create yet so creative, all you need is an old lampshade and a bunch of faux birds (sorry, it doesn’t work with real birds - they don’t sit still for long enough) I especially like the little bit of greenery in there. If you don’t have a hanging light, don’t let that stop you from making this - it would be great to have above your bed or dinner table. Make sure to check out the rest of the article with the makeover. It’s amazing!
Water Bottle Chandelier | Oh Happy Day
There are lots of things you can upcycle but water bottles aren’t something that pop into mind (well apart from refilling with water!) But this chandelier is amazing - colourful, pretty and easy to make! Perfect for a kids bedroom or anywhere really!
Cardboard Chandelier | How Tuesday
I have a personal code to always reblog chandelier DIYs! This one is so awesome I think I might make it tomorrow. It will go perfectly in my bedroom with my new lamps and pillows!
LED Light Chandelier | CasaSugar
How beautiful is this? I think that if I ever had a little shack in the woods I would hang this above my bed. Actually, I think I will make this for my bedroom anyway. I already have a country garden theme going on in there and I think this would fit in perfectly!
Airplant Chandelier | Modish Blog
I find airplants fascinating. As someone who is able to kill a plant just by looking at it, I find these amazing. And even more gorgeous en masse in a chandelier style. If you check out design magazines, you will probably notice a few air plants - they’re quite trendy at the moment, and in this style it would look amazing in a mod setting.
Bird Cage Chandelier | Design*Sponge
Tonight we continue our series of ‘Emma Loves Chandeliers’ with maybe the most ingenious chandelier I have seen in yonks! What I like the most about this is that I don’t have to have a hanging light bulb, plus if you hinge the top of the cage as they have here, you get easy access to the bulb when you need to change it. Which, in my crappy wired house, is quite often!
Branch Chandelier | Casa Diseno
I have a thing for chandeliers and this is one of my favourites. One of the reasons is because of its earthiness. Is that a word?! Also the fact that you can make it out of everyday items. Which isn’t so easy to do with real chandeliers! This would be perfect for outdoors as well as inside too.
Outdoor Chandelier | Sunset
Now that I have a Barbie, I’m looking more and more to ideas on decorating my ‘outdoor area’. And by 'outdoor area’, I mean my car porch. My house was a double block but the owners split it in two, so my backyard is actually a back…lane. Which is excellent because I kill even plastic plants (haha! But no, seriously. I had to throw some out because they got so dusty/manky). First I’d like to make a couple of those outdoor chairs from pallets I’ve posted before, and then I think a couple of these chandeliers would do the trick for some pretty lighting. But until Summer, my car still gets right of way under my porch!
DIY Feather Chandelier | The Sweetest Occasion
This one is for my dreamy, fluffy, sweet as candy DIYers! So pretty and summery, this would look just as great in your hair as blowing in the warm summer wind. Yes, I’m missing Summer. I never thought I would say that. Bring in Spring already!
DIY Fringe Chandelier | The Sweetest Occasion
Another chandelier DIY! And this one is great, because it’s quick, cheap and simple to follow. This is meant to be decoration for a wedding, but this would look great anywhere, even a bathroom!
Paper Capiz Shell Chandelier | Paper & Ink
When I was younger I was completely smitten with a (real & expensive) Capiz Chandelier. I loved the beachy feel of it, the pretty tinkly sound it made in the wind. To me, it was the height of sophistication! Now I’m older, I still love them, but they’re still expensive and I’m still only slightly richer than when I was younger! Haha! Anyway, why spend the money on it when you can make your own! And I don’t think unless you’re up close and personal with the chandelier that you could tell the difference.
Beaded Chandelier | Dollar Store Crafts
Real chandeliers would look insane in my house! It’s not really a glitzy glam kind of place - more like 70’s comfort?! Haha! But I still love it and have decorated it how I love and I’d never move. But I still love chandeliers and this would be perfect for my house because it’s kind of vintagey and simple.
