Confetti Eggs | Oh Happy Day

These confetti eggs are a traditional Easter party item, but I think they would be perfect for New Years Eve! You’re meant to smash them over each other’s heads, so if you decide to use these you might want to have a less fancy bash or at least warn anyone who has copious amounts of gel or hairspray in their hair, or anyone who spent the day at the salon getting their hair done. That’s for guys and girls! Or you could go for something else inside the eggs, like confetti (though that might be hard to get out of hair too!)

30 Day Movie Challenge | Day 02 – The most underrated movie
Confetti (2006)
I’m a sucker for British films, I think because of my sense of humour. I find the humour in American films (which I love, don’t get me wrong!) is quite different to British humour - a little less visual and more dry wit, at times more character based. Confetti is one of those films - the characters completely win you over! A lot of people have never heard of the movie, which I think is so sad - it’s one of the best films I’ve ever seen!
In the film, three couples compete to try and win ‘Most Original Wedding of The Year’. This includes Mat & Sam who want an Musical themed wedding while contending with pushy family, Josef and Isabelle who have planned a Tennis themed wedding in spite of their countless relationship issues and Michael and Joanna who’s wedding will be Nude… though Michael isn’t sure he can go through with it. The movie is largely improvised, which makes the relationships feel ‘real’. At the heart of it is a gorgeously funny movie about love and the trials and tribulations each couple goes through. It also features two of the funniest wedding planners you will ever see! They might be my favourite part of the movie.
If you’re looking for a really fun movie to watch, I can’t encourage you enough to borrow this! Just don’t watch it if you’re planning a wedding!
