Upcycled Bags | Something Useful
OK, so I didn’t go to bed! My friend emailed me about this shop and I just had to share it with you! At first glance I was like - OK, big deal, they’re crocheted bags… and then I found out that these are crocheted from plastic bags! How cool is that?! And much prettier than those dodgy, easily ripped bags you get from the store. I particularly like the wine bags - how perfect to give to a hostess with a bottle of wine?! Recycling has never been so pretty!

Skull Crochet Necklace | Shara Lambeth Designs
It might seem like I’m skull obsessed at the moment but I promise I’m not! I just like the sweet/weird vibe of this little crochet skull. I’ve always wanted to learn crochet but have always thought it was too hard. But this project has inspired me to have a go!
Lazy Dazy Set | Pickles
ARGH! This is so freakin’ adorable I had to share it straight away! My friend Chelsea is having a baby and I was trying to think of something a little ‘different’ for the baby, this is perfect! So cute. Oh my gosh. OK, I need to go on Etsy and find someone to make this for me!
p.s. there’s also a matching jacket! Squee!
Amigurumi Teddy Bear Ornaments | All About Ami
Kawaii! These are so adorable. Wouldn’t these be perfect to give to a family with a newborn for tree decorations? They can play with these all they want and no stress. Or of course, for someone who loves adorable decorations!
Chain Link Scarf | Crochet Clouds
I’ve wanted a scarf from Yakoo, who does amazing knitted accessories, especially her big chunky scarves. I can’t really afford one, but I have a friend who said she would knit me something so I will be emailing this to her. Winter is coming up so I’ll need her to start now!
Ode To Missoni Baby Blanket | Vickie Howell
I’m so jealous that there’s going to be a Missoni for Target range in America! I love my Missoni perfume and I adore the classic zig zag patterns of their clothing & home range. I think that’s why I’m so taken with this zig zag baby blanket (though of course I would need a grown up blanket!) I just found out that someone at work knows how to crochet so I think I’m going to try and convice her to make this for me. There’s a free pattern to make this blanket, though if I was you I would already be lining up in front of my closest Target to get my hands on a skirt!
Little Urchin Crocheted Covered Sea Stones | The Purl Bee
Just an example of another reason I really want to learn to crochet! I see so many gorgeous crochet projects that I’d love to try. This is a beautiful little project and I know I say this all the time, but it would make a lovely gift. You could even do this kind of crochet over a big stone and use it as a door stop or a paper weight. Pretty and useful!
Gumdrop Slouchy Hat | Gleeful Things
As a Brownie, you learn lots of things. How to cook, identify flora & fauna, sing, dance, even clean! The one thing I really wanted to learn was knitting. Ten year old me loved the thought of knitting, especially after ten year old me was already addicted to her French knitting spool! My Brownie leader tried, she really did, but it just didn’t work. I think it ended with me being asked to play outside. So I see projects like this and I’m so sad because I know that I won’t ever be able to make it, but I think I might try and con someone in to making it for me!
