Searching through the West Elm website, I found a set of gorgeous agate coasters… though I would never allow anyone to put their cups on them, they’re too nice! They do make an amazing piece of art aren’t they?! There’s something so earthy and rich about agate that feels like jewels. Have a search on etsy or amazon for pieces of agate to frame - they come in a myriad of colours.

It was hard to choose just one of the art projects from Dans le Townhouse but this one was my favourite. Creating your own art for your house is great because you can make it to suit your own tastes and your interior.

Isn’t it funny how much your tastes can change as you get older? When I was younger I loved preppy clothes, big floral art pieces and pink. Actually, I still love all those things, but now I find myself also loving geometric art, fluro and sequins at all times of the day. I would have used to hate this piece but I adore it now - I’m going to do mine in gold, pink and grey and hang it above my bed!

My cat Sophie’s second favourite food after dried fish bits is flowers so I rarely have them in my house - otherwise I come home to knocked over vases, water everywhere and a cat who *saw nothing*. So I love faux flower DIYs, and these felted flowers are sweet enough to have in any room.
