I love any lemon based dessert, especially lemon bars! They are so easy to make and doesn’t require a ton of ingredients to make - in fact you’ve probably already got most of them in your kitchen!
These cupcakes might take a bit more effort than your usual stir and pour, but oh my gosh they look so worth it! These cupcakes have a graham cracker base, sprinkled with chocolate…and a graham cracker top sprinkled with chocolate! Oh yeah, and of course you can’t forget that gooey marshmallow top. I wish I hadn’t seen this at 8PM because it’s all I want right now…
Is it strange that I don’t like eating cold bananas, but hot bananas I find delicious!? I don’t care, I can’t get enough. I could eat a million banana fritters if you gave me the chance. So I think I would love these banana springrolls - how amazing do they look!? Time to break out the wok!
This kind of cake is what I imagine Marie Antoinette would dine on at one of her fancy parties! It looks so dreamy - light, creamy, soft. Delicious! This is one of those show stopper cakes that would be amazing for a birthday party. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to cook all the crepes and give them time to cool - hot crepes and cream will equal a big melty mess!
What can I say,… I love cinnamon rolls! So this recipe is right up my alley - can’t you just smell the cinnamon apple goodness through the screen!? If you’re lucky enough to have a bread maker, I suggest you try making your dough that way, it will cut out a lot of time. I plan on making these this weekend, yum!
Dipping anything in chocolate improves almost everything, I’m sure most of you can agree. These adorable pops are almost too cute to eat, but I’m sure I could bring myself to eat one…or two. HH has lots of fun pretzel pop projects, so make sure to click through for more!
How cool are these - mini pinata cupcakes! These don’t actually look too hard to make, though I guess it might take a few tries to get the domes looking nice. You could fill the top with lots of different candies, if you’re making these for Christmas you could fill them with red, green and white M&Ms or if you’re making them for New Year’s Eve you could fill them with gold gum balls and edible gold stars!
Want something sweet, rich and completely decadent to serve up for sweets at your next party? Well look no further than this amazing dessert from With Lovely - Strawberry Fool. A layered dream of cream, strawberries, nutella and berry compote, make sure you make an extra one to hide in the fridge for the next day!
Microwave Brownie Lava Cakes | The Yummy Life
A while ago an email spread like wildfire through my office- Microwave Chocolate Cake In A Mug. People were excited. Cake! Quick cake! Yeah… Imagine what a cake made in a mug would look like…not pleasant. Also the ingredients were a little skew-iff so if you followed it directly and added one whole egg for one mug cake it turned into a weird gluey mess. Many were dissapointed. But I’m willing to try again with this recipe - it says it yielded 100% consistent results. And for such a delicious, gooey (on purpose!) chocolately dessert, I’m willing to try. If you decide to try too, let me know what your results are!
White Chocolate Heart Cups with Strawberry Ice Cream | Go Make Me
So these are meant to be for Valentine’s Day, but seriously, you shouldn’t ever have to wait a whole year to eat something this delicious! I think the thing that really caught my eye though is that little puff of fairy floss on top! Pretty and delicious, awesome!
Mini Strawberry, Lemon and Shortbread Trifle | Madigan Made
One thing I love about buffets is the mini desserts. It means that instead of wasting your dessert on onething that might not taste good (or starts to taste bad after a while) you get to have multiple desserts with a little taste of everything! Who doesn’t love that?! These mini trifles would be perfect for your own buffet style dinner party (they’re so easy to make that you could make more than one dessert no stress!)
S’mores Pie | The Pastry Affair
My new love is the Pastry Affair, and I honestly can’t work out what the heck I share with you from it because I want to share it all! I finally settled on this S’mores Pie because it made me yell out ‘OH MY GOSH!’ when I saw it! Yum. I would have to take this to a party or someone else’s house though because I’m pretty sure I would eat it all and get really sick… The recipe is quite similar to making a lemon meringue pie - make the crust, fill and then the best part - lay the marshmallows on top and melt them under the broiler. OK, enough talking, time to get backing!
Whoopie Pies | Martha Stewart
You know how you get a real craving for something but you can’t find it at the stores? Well I really want a whoopie pie but the closest thing I can get here is… nothing. You can’t buy them here! So I guess I’m just going to have to make my own. Of course Martha has a great recipe, so I’m hoping my mum who is staying with me this week will make them for me?!
Slice Recipes | Skipping Girl Vinegar via Frankie Mag
Having a good slice recipe in your repertoire is important. Especially when you’re asked to bring something to a dinner party, cook something for a bake sale or have someone popping over for afternoon tea and there’s nothing in the house. I truly love all of these slices - Mars Bar slice, Lemon Slice and Chocolate & Pistachio slice. Out of all of these, Lemon Slice is my all time favourite. Some of these ingredients are Aussie, so if you want to bake one and you’re not sure what you can use as an alternative, send me a message and I’ll help you out!
Mini Banoffee Pie | A Beautiful Mess
My gorgeous cousin Laura recently had her birthday and when I go over there for Tuesday tea I want to make something I know she will like, which is Banoffee Pie… though we know it as caramel & banana pie! Banoffee pie sounds so much more fancy though, doesn’t it? These look soooo good, and how good is it that they’re bite sized?
Also, I just realised that Laura will probably read this. Laura, don’t read this! Or forget that you read this!
