Dessert Poster | A Fabulous Fete
Some people are obsessed with cheese & other savoury morsels. Though I do enjoy the occasional crisp, I’m a sweet tooth all the way. I love desserts - especially donuts! Oh and really light sponge cake with cream. And chocolate croissants and warm apple pie a la mode… oh man. Anyway, what were we talking about?! Oh that’s right, this amazing free print from A Fabulous Fete by artist Kori Clark. ‘The Sugar Shortlist’ is the perfect piece of art for the kitchen (or you could put it next to your bedside table for a sweet night’s sleep!).

Summery Spa Pops | Henry Happened

Some people say it’s too cold for ice blocks right now in Australia, but I disagree! Anytime is a good time for ice blocks. Or ice pops if you are from the North! These ice blocks are so easy to make and bonus - healthy! That’s right, there’s no extra sugar, there’s no cream, additives, etc. Henry Happened has two flavours here - Cucumber Basil and Watermelon Strawberry - both have high water content (which is good for you in Summer!). This has given me inspiration to make a Strawberry, Lemon & Mint version! Yum!

S’mores Cupcakes | Bakerella
These cupcakes might take a bit more effort than your usual stir and pour, but oh my gosh they look so worth it! These cupcakes have a graham cracker base, sprinkled with chocolate…and a graham cracker top sprinkled with chocolate! Oh yeah, and of course you can’t forget that gooey marshmallow top. I wish I hadn’t seen this at 8PM because it’s all I want right now…

Coconut Cream Crepe Cake | Hummingbird High
This kind of cake is what I imagine Marie Antoinette would dine on at one of her fancy parties! It looks so dreamy - light, creamy, soft. Delicious! This is one of those show stopper cakes that would be amazing for a birthday party. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to cook all the crepes and give them time to cool - hot crepes and cream will equal a big melty mess!

Coconut Cream Crepe Cake | Hummingbird High

This kind of cake is what I imagine Marie Antoinette would dine on at one of her fancy parties! It looks so dreamy - light, creamy, soft. Delicious! This is one of those show stopper cakes that would be amazing for a birthday party. Just make sure you give yourself enough time to cook all the crepes and give them time to cool - hot crepes and cream will equal a big melty mess!

How cool are these - mini pinata cupcakes! These don’t actually look too hard to make, though I guess it might take a few tries to get the domes looking nice. You could fill the top with lots of different candies, if you’re making these for Christmas you could fill them with red, green and white M&Ms or if you’re making them for New Year’s Eve you could fill them with gold gum balls and edible gold stars!

Microwave Brownie Lava Cakes | The Yummy Life
A while ago an email spread like wildfire through my office- Microwave Chocolate Cake In A Mug. People were excited. Cake! Quick cake! Yeah… Imagine what a cake made in a mug would look like…not pleasant. Also the ingredients were a little skew-iff so if you followed it directly and added one whole egg for one mug cake it turned into a weird gluey mess. Many were dissapointed. But I’m willing to try again with this recipe - it says it yielded 100% consistent results. And for such a delicious, gooey (on purpose!) chocolately dessert, I’m willing to try. If you decide to try too, let me know what your results are!

One thing I love about buffets is the mini desserts. It means that instead of wasting your dessert on onething that might not taste good (or starts to taste bad after a while) you get to have multiple desserts with a little taste of everything! Who doesn’t love that?! These mini trifles would be perfect for your own buffet style dinner party (they’re so easy to make that you could make more than one dessert no stress!)
