Colourful Dessert Stands | Centsational Girl
I see all these DIYs on how to make stands out of beautiful old vintage plates and glasses, but clearly someone else has gotten to the op shops before me and already bought them because I don’t see them anywhere! This is a great way to make stands using pieces that have a great shape but may be ugly in appearance. By spraying them the same colour they look like something you would buy in a shop! I don’t know if I would paint them in these colours but white and pale pink? Right up my alley!
Log Jar Display | Design*Sponge
Sometimes it’s quite hard to display small items without them being overwhelmed by what’s around it. Displaying them in something as pretty as this not only draws attention to them but does it in a effective and cheap way!
Vase turned Cloche | ReadyMade
I’ve always wanted a cloche (well, I wanted one of those things with the glass thing that you put the stuff in which is apparently called a cloche!) but the ones I see are the same price as a day’s pay. Justify, I can not. This cloche is made from a upside down vase, pull handle and candle stick. I think my mum would also like something like this - perfect for displaying favorite little tidbits!
DIY Framed Dessert Table Trays | Ruffled
So easy and yet so effective! This is great for those framed pictures in the op shops that you look at and think - ewwww! seriously, there are some pictures I see and think - someone actually bought this and hung it on their wall. Like the flocked clown picture I found this week gone. Two of the worst things ever in one! Anyway, if you see a nice frame but hate the picture, grab your favourite paper, spray paint that frame and turn it into something you would hang on your wall!
Pickle Jar Project | eighteen25
When I was younger one of the things I loved the most was going down to the deli after church and getting a bag of lollies! You used to be able to get a mixed bag for $1 - a big bag too! I think the part that made me the happiest was gazing upon the brightly coloured boxes filling the counter names… ah the memories! Anyway, you can’t get a big bag of lollies for $1 anymore (I sound like a nanna!) but I can make my own lolly display. How pretty and delicious does this look! I think I would fill them with all pink lollies and display it out in my lounge so when people come over I can say to them as they leave - would you like a lolly bag to go?!
