Let’s Go Shopping! | Made By Cassandra Smith
It’s been a while since I’ve been so taken with an item, but these antlers by Cassandra Smith are so gorgeous that I wish she lived in Australia just so I could have my own! And before you get upset (like I was about to!): ‘Shed antlers are cruelty free. Every year deer shed their antlers and re-grow new ones. The shed antlers are found lying in the woods’. These would be beautiful hung on the wall to hang jewelry from, or a decorative piece for any part of your house - like on a coffee table or above your bed.
Painted Peaches | Let’s Go Shopping!
One of a kind pieces are always a lot more special than something mass produced. Also, you know that when you walk down the street that you won’t spot anyone else wearing the same thing! For pretty, glittery and quirky hand made pieces, may I suggest you immediately click over to Painted Peaches? The lovely flame-haired Emily Hart has hand made one off items from necklaces to hair clips and brooches. My personal favourite is the piece pictured above - The Floral Bib Necklace, perfect to dress up a plain tshirt & jeans combo or the final touch to a flippy summer dress!
p.s: you can follow Emily here on tumblr - click here to check out her blog!

Owning my own online shop, I know how hard it is to get yourself ‘out there’ so I want to offer a new feature to my lovely followers - free advertising. I could ask for money, but I want to offer this to my followers who have been so supportive of my blog:
Each week I will feature a different shop. It doesn’t have to be an etsy shop but there are a few rules:
- You need to be following me natch!
- You will need to send me a message in my Ask. Once you’ve sent it, please don’t continue to ask. I will keep each shop in a file and will contact you the Sunday before it goes up. Any repeated asks will not be featured.
- Please keep in mind that I will check out the store to make sure it fits S+T. This includes feedback & content
- If you want to offer something to go with your feature, please let me know (i.e. a coupon or giveaway)
If you have any questions, please let me know. I’m really excited about this, I hope y’all are too!
Don’t forget - message me in my Ask box, and don’t forget a link!
A Stitch In Time
Feeling stitchy? Here are my favourite cross stitch PDFs from Etsy. I’m super keen to do that Las Vegas pillow!
Green With Envy
I’m all about the green right now. But not just any green - mint green, turquoise green, grey green and every green in between!
Colour Beaded Spike Necklace | A Merry Mishap
I’m in love with the gorgeous bead & metal pieces from A Merry Mishap, particularly these ones with the spikes. The combination of soft, pastel beads and the sharp, metal edges of the spikes rocks my socks! But which colour?! Green, pink… yellow!? Decisions, decisions!
Romantic Bracelet | French Etsy
Did you know that the French Etsy has DIYs too!? Thank goodness they have pictures because I can’t read French. I wish I could, it’s such a gorgeous language. I like this little ‘Romantic’ bracelet, especially combined with other sweet bracelets. And it’s another way to accessorise with lace!
10 Girls With Cameras Sticker Pack by Girlie Pains | Let’s Go Shopping
Y’all know one of my favourite artists is Mel Stringer and this is one of my favourite items in her store. Not only is it a bargain ($5!) but the proceeds go to help Mel purchase a movie camera. Knowing how amazing Mel is with her drawings, I can just imagine what she will create with a camera! So if you’re looking for a little gift for someone (or yourself) I recommend this!
How-Tuesday: The Urban Herbalist | Etsy
I just finished reading Hunger Games, which made me realise that if I was ever stuck in the woods I would be screwed. One of the things I loved the most about the main character Katniss was her ability to search for and use the nature around her. In this day and age where we can buy what we need from the supermarket and don’t think twice about it means that there is no need to know about the things that grow around us, which are amazing! For example, do you know that Plantain is great for bug bites, scratches and even acne? This is a great guide for how to navigate the world of herbs and how to use them. I’m printing this out!
Vintage Yellow Lace Dress by Frankie & Plum | Let’s Go Shopping!
Well if I can’t feature my own stuff in Let’s Go Shopping, then what’s the point of having this fabulous blog, right!? Haha! Laura, please don’t kill me for putting this up. This is one of my favourite pieces in the shop. I found it at a local Salvos along with the boots featured in the shop, and was like - gold! It was part of an op-shop-hop that I did with my cousin Collette. Doesn’t Laura look adorable in it? And for those wondering what my house looks like, this picture is taken in my dining room. Those french doors lead into my second bedroom. From the dining room. No, I don’t know why they are there. But that’s beside the point. Buy this dress and channel your inner Goldie Hawn (for some reason I think of Goldie Hawn when I see this. Like something she would have worn in the sixties while sporting a giant beehive and glitter on her eyes?)
I’ve just gone through my blog and I thought I would re-post some of my earlier posts way from the start that I particularly loved. This was one of my first ‘inspired by art’ outfits. I should do this again, I loved it! And seriously, if I won the lottery tomorrow I would buy those boots in a heartbeat!

The Shop Is Now Open…
Hey followers! I’ve just re-opened my shop Frankie & Plum Vintage. I closed it ages ago because of personal reasons but I have all my gorgeous vintage bits lying around and it’s a shame not to share them! If you have some time, go and have a look! Sorry about the images - they’re not the best, but rest assured there will be some better ones coming. Each piece I chose specifically because they are pieces I would wear myself (if I was tinier). I will be putting up more items soon, so keep an eye out. Oh man, if I had size six feet, I would be wearing those red bow heels morning and night. Including in my sleep.
Train Hoops by DMD Metal | Let’s Go Shopping!
You’re anything but a rebel. You always return your books on time, there’s no ink on your skin and you’ve never had a run in with the law. But that doesn’t mean you can’t wear a bit of rebellion on your ears right? These little train hoops are also customisable - get the designer to write whatever you want in graffitti… even if it is ‘i love stamps’.

Now there is the iRetrophone in Classic Black that will fit in perfectly with your Mad Men style decor. Simply pop your phone into the cradle and you can goss to your gals all night long!
