Embellished Sunglasses | Because I’m Addicted
Take a queue from the big fashion brands this Summer and make yourself a wardrobe of sunglasses that you can mix & match with your favourite outfits! Pearl sunnies were big on the Chanel runways and are my favourite of the three - they would look great on a pair of cream framed glasses!
The other day when I was window shopping ASOS, I came across this gorgeous metallic & lace tshirt dress. Well unfortunately though I would love to own it, it’s a little out of my price range right now. Then a serendipitous event occured and I discovered this sequin skirt DIY! I’m not sure how easy it is to sew sequin fabric, but I’m willing to give it a try!
How To: Wear Vintage | A Pair & A Spare
Pulling off vintage clothing is one of those tricky things that some people just seem to effortlessly do whereas some others look like they got stuck in a time warp! AP&AS has some great pointers on how to fit vintage clothing into your everyday wardrobe without looking like a crazy person!
Embellished Sweater | Clones & Clowns
I love this embellished sweater, such an easy way to makeover something so simple. It’s sweet and graphic and perfect for this much colder weather we are getting.
Anthro Inspired Tassel Necklace | The Merry Thought
A lot of people have very specific styles - they will only wear gold, never wear anything ‘girly’ or refuse to wear flats. I’m very all over the place with my style - if I likes it, I’ll wears it! Which is probably why I find it hard to get dressed in the morning! But I do find that quirky jewellery pieces can bring styles together and are easy to dress up even the simplest of outfits. Don’t get stuck on the colours you see in the picture - if you’d prefer blue and white, go for it! That’s the fun part about DIY - you can make it your own!
25 Piece Travel Wardrobe | A Pair & A Spare
All I seem to be thinking about at the moment is my travel plans for the end of the year, and the internet keeps giving me more fodder! AP&AS does a lot of travelling so she’s got the art of packing down to a t. I’m one of those people who doesn’t like to pack heavy but then always seems to forget something important (one time all I took on a trip was sneakers. Not so great when we went out for dinner!). I’m going to save this for the end of the year (time to start a travel folder!)
Spike End Bangles | Chic Steals
These bracelets are everywhere right now, on fashion blogs, all over Pintrest. So of course now I want my own! I’m not sure if they would have the bangle blanks at my local craft store (and they certainly won’t have the spikes!) so I’m going on Etsy for my supplies. I love the one with the diamantes!
Color Crush; Black, Blossom & Pale Blue | Creature Comforts
I love the color crush round ups that Creature Comforts does, but this one is one of my favourites. Those shoes, that dress… sigh, that is an amazing outfit! Check out her website for more of these gorgeous round ups.
For those of us who don’t take their fashion too seriously, may I present the best scarf I have seen in ages! Plus super warm - that ‘fur belly’ will keep your neck warm against the cold Winter wind!
Get Dressed In 5 Minutes | Lucky Mag
Do you ever stand in front of your wardrobe and think ‘I HAVE NOTHING TO WEAR’. I did that this morning. And it’s not that I don’t have anything to wear, it’s that I’m bored with what I have. You always end up wearing the same jacket with the same skirt, the same top with the same pants. Here are some great ideas of how to restyle what you already have into new outfits. You might find something new that you love - and get lots of new compliments!
Infinity Cowl | Luv In The Mommy Hood
There’s nothing I’m looking forward to more than Winter! I have all my beautiful boots just begging to be worn. And then there are these gorgeous tutorials for scarves like this one - wouldn’t this be perfect for those super cold windy days?! Super pretty and practical. My favourite combo!
Heart Print Jeans | My Little Secrets
I’m not sure why but something about printed jeans speaks to my soul. They’re fun and easy to style. But they can also be a lot more expensive than regular jeans and often times they make them in weird cuts. Using a cheapo/second hand/old pair you already have, you can get the print in whatever colour, size, shape you want and these heart print jeans are just too cute to pass up!
Isabella Sequin Bracelet | For The Makers
For The Makers is my kind of subscription service - each month you’re sent a box of goodies to create 4 different pieces from jewellery and accessories to lovely items for your home. Unfortunately you can’t subscribe in Australia (grr!) but if you’re a crafty guy or gal who loves to create and wants to try different crafts this would be perfect. Luckily for me though, the tutorials for each craft is still available for everyone to try out themselves! After seeing this project I actually went out and bought sequins today. I couldn’t find the mini rondelles but I got some super cute pink and yellow sequins to make a couple of these. And look out in the future for more projects from this great website!
Studded Neck Warmer | My Junky Box
While the evil Summer sun shines down on me, burning my sensitive pale English skin, it’s getting chilly up North so that’s my excuse for posting scarve DIYs in 35 degree weather! If your not as keen on the stud look as I am, doing this with pearls or diamantes would be super cute too. Warm and stylish, best of both worlds!
I’ve always been jealous of those fashion girls who know how to perfectly put together their outfits. Whenever I try to layer I just end up looking like I went crazy and put on all my clothes at once! This is a great guide on how to do it so you look stylish and not crazy - I love that sparkly skirt with the jacket & boots, it really dresses down a usually fancy skirt!
