I keep seeing rooms with awesome vintage maps all over Pinterest and was thinking of doing something similar, but there are definitely no awesome vintage maps for less than $20 where I live! So here’s something even better, free vintage maps in four different colour ways! Use them as art, in your scrapbooking, as a book cover or even to decorate trays, table mats or coasters!
Is it time to update your wallpaper? I know my desktop does - I still have a wallpaper that proudly declares that April is awesome. All the designs from CC are gorgeous and inspiring, and I particularly love the moon phases. By the way, if you’re in Adelaide run outside now to see the eclipse!
Even though I am not a fan of camping (without sleep I am dangerously sarcastic) I am a huge fan of this amazing free print from All Things Thrifty! Not only is it a fun piece with an inspiring message, but it comes in four different colour ways. Now lets go on an adventure (that does not include air mattresses!).
Before I found etsy, and before the internet, I had to make do with pictures torn from magazines as art on my walls. So sad. These days, there are so many amazing (free!) pieces available online that you can print off at the click of a button - how lucky are we?! This modern hexagon piece has gorgeous colours and will work with so many different interiors. Print it off and frame it, and be thankful for beautiful art and the internet.
Sometimes it amazes me the free things people share on the internet. The Neighborhood has produced an amazing series of free printables to create your own mini neighborhood - an amazing design, so cute and fun for young and old! Even if you don’t want to make a mini neighborhood to play in, you could make a mini vignette of houses, use the candy store as a gift box or use the park printables as a backdrop for your photos! There are tons of houses, shops and other bits and pieces to download, so head on over and check out the super fun goodies (and drop a thanks for this awesome freebie!)
Some people are obsessed with cheese & other savoury morsels. Though I do enjoy the occasional crisp, I’m a sweet tooth all the way. I love desserts - especially donuts! Oh and really light sponge cake with cream. And chocolate croissants and warm apple pie a la mode… oh man. Anyway, what were we talking about?! Oh that’s right, this amazing free print from A Fabulous Fete by artist Kori Clark. ‘The Sugar Shortlist’ is the perfect piece of art for the kitchen (or you could put it next to your bedside table for a sweet night’s sleep!).
I’m one of those people who never has wrapping paper when it comes time to wrap a present. I always assume I have some in a drawer at home, and after 15 minutes of searching come to the realisation that… this happened last time. So I now have a file on my computer that has wrapping paper files so that when it inevitably happens again I can print some out quickly! I fell in love with this super pretty paper from Oh Happy Day - in fact, I’ve already used it to wrap a birthday present today!
Lia has new paper flower design to create - a pretty, pastel apple blossom branch. Once you’ve cut and assembled your flowers, they’re then attached to paper covered wire, twisted into branches. I love this in the middle of the table, though this would be pretty twisted around a mirror, picture frame or around a lamp base.
How sweet are these critter egg holders?! Not only are they free to download, you can also customise the names at the bottom so you can use these as place holders (or as Lia suggests, finger puppets!)
I know I’ve been overdosing on the beauty posts, but I’ve found so many good ones I just had to share! I honestly would never have thought to use coconut oil as a cleanser but apparently it has lots of great qualities - check out this article. I’m keen to try it out now! But of course I want it to look pretty… thank you Lia Griffith for your amazing as usual free printables! I will be your guinea pig and have a go at the coconut oil cleanser and let you know how I go… if you’re already using it I’d love to hear what you think!
My birthday is coming up and I’m thinking of having a breakfast/brunch celebration. I was kind of umming and ahhing about it but then I saw this free download and thought ‘well I’m going to have to do it now, just so I can use these!’. Now just to work out the rest… like what to eat, where to have it, what time, who to invite…
Need a little more luck in your life? Download, print and frame this awesome print from Eighteen25 and maybe it will encourage luck to come your way! And if not, it’s still a pretty print to have in your house!
This is a really simple but sweet gift to give for Valentine’s Day. Wrap in some coordinating kraft paper and white ribbon and give it to someone you love!
Don’t let the kids have all the fun with this truly awesome giant heart Valentine’s Day coloring in page! Print one for yourself and one for any minis (especially if you’re like me and very particular about your coloring in!) or choose from any of the other pages available - the patchwork heart is really sweet!
My sewing box is a terrible, disorganised mess right now, so it seemed to be a touch of kismet to come across these free printable labels! Grab yourself some mason jars and glue and get organised yourself. And if you’re feeling brave, you could even attach the lids of the jars to the underside of a shelf so you can screw on/off your jars and keep all your other crafty stuff above! Hmm, I just inspired myself…
