Easter started in January this year. That’s right, next to the clearance rack with the tinsel, bon-bons and baubles were Easter eggs! Crazy. And it’s so hard - Easter is when they bring out Cadbury Creme Eggs and they are my weakness! Do they have these anywhere else? Hoo boy. Anyway, I’ve now started a healthy eating diet to loose weight, feel better, etc along with the rest of my family. It’s still nice to give gifts though, so I’ll be making some lovely little hand made items for my family instead (except for my niece - she’ll still get chocolate!) This super cute jelly bean embroidery pattern is perfect for my sister - how cute is that little one in the bottom with the frowney face?! All the sweetness, none of the calories!

Have y’all got your gift wrapping boxes ready for the upcoming year? No? Just me?! Haha! Well I have started with some truly gorgeous paper I found at a cheap store (it was such a find, woo!) I even bought this awesome paper cutting thing that looks a bit like a tooth brush without the bristles - you simply slide it through the paper to cut it. It’s truly awesome. I think I need to now add these floral tags to my box. I love the vintage floral designs and I believe any recipients would love them too!

At work we are in the middle of a mass book swap - we’ve all kind of realised that we all have the same taste in books (I’ve found out there are quite a few people who love Terry Pratchett - though I am apparently a ‘Practchett Trekkie!’) At the moment I am readng One Unknown by Gill Hicks, an amazing woman who was a victim of the London Bombings that I borrowed from my friend Julie. I have myself promised to lend a couple of books, but I’m going to stick these pretty labels in the front so that they eventually make their way back to me!

January 2012 Calendar | Creature Comforts
Ez is doing another amazing calendar this year, and January is all ready to be downloaded! I love Ez’s illustrations. In the comments someone mentioned that they use these as dividers in her folders - a great idea to keep documents sorted whilst keeping things pretty!
