Ok, so I know this is technically a kid’s costume, but there’s no reason you can’t create this sweet kit for yourself! Plus how cute is that pineapple hat!? This is a very easy to make costume and only needs a few supplies to create, perfect for those of you who are sewing-challenged!
If you’ve been invited to a Halloween party but hate Halloween costumes, you can still dress up and have fun without feeling uncomfortable! Combine this chic spiderweb fascintaor with a black outfit and dark makeup. If you are feeling a bit more spooky, attach some sparkly spiders to the fascinator and to your outfit.
Continuing my ‘pretty spooky’ (get it!? Pun!) Halloween theme, I present this ethereal, soft and super easy to re-create ‘Into The Woods’ costume. The ‘costume’ is the easiest part - simple dress and tulle cape - then collect your dead/dried flowers to make yourself a creepy floral crown and combine it with a dark berry lip and smoky eyes. Click through the whole gallery for lots more inspiration too!
Though we don’t really celebrate Halloween in Australia, I still love sharing costume ideas because I have been to costume parties and I know the stress of trying to work out what to wear. This costume is not only incredibly pretty (tulle is super girly, you can’t help but feel like a princess!) but it’s easy to make and you get to wear wings! Combine this with some glittery makeup and you have basically my favourite ever costume. Keep an eye out because I’ll be sharing more Halloween costumes soon!
Though tv shows will tell us that couple costumes are the worst, I still think they’re super fun. But what’s not super fun is if your costume only makes sense if you’re with your partner and they ditch you. Awkward. That’s why I love Keiko’s couple costume - you’ll still look adorable even if you part.
The paper bag princess is one of my all time favourite kids books, so I was so excited to see this costume - easy to make (though I don’t know how you would go sitting down…) and you’ll be able to fight any dragons you may encounter on the night!
With Lovely has done a round up of her past halloween costumes, and I have to say that this Snow White one is my favourite! Plus it’s pretty easy to put together - as are most of her costumes. I love the added detail of the little bird on the wrist - so cute!
I have to admit, I’m pretty disappointed with the DIY adult costumes this year, but the kid ones are awesome! I saw the Anna Wintour one via Pintrest and fell in love - so cute, plus if you get bored you can read the Vogue mag!
I can’t even remember how I came across these awesome temporary tattoos, but how cool are they!? I adore the pop art one, but the cheetah is very cool too. A great way to make sure you don’t end up with a smudged face at the end of the Halloween party!
OK, so the originals might be for little tots, but the ideas are so easy to re-invent into a costume for your grown up self too! There are a few more ideas to try but I have to say my fave ones are the Mr & Mrs Fox and the Napoleon Dynamite ones.
Oh. My. Gosh. This might be the cutest couple’s costume I’ve ever seen, and I think it’s that little leaf hat on Myla, just like Totoro’s! Both of these costumes are so easy to put together and if you don’t have an adorable baby Myla, you could make a grown up grey Totoro tshirt.
The great thing about this costume is that at the end of the night you can pop it off and walk out of the party! And it’s also super cute and pretty easy to make, which is always a bonus when it comes to halloween costumes. This would also be quite easy to make as a ‘guy’ costume (or even a couple costume!)
I don’t know if any of you read Makeup Addiction on reddit, but at the moment everyone is going nuts over this fawn makeup for Halloween! As I do with each Halloween I’ll be looking for fun crafty costumes, so keep an eye out!
This is hilarious! Y’all will be seeing me in my Sexy Archibald Primrose, 4th Earl of Rosebery costume this Halloween…
P.s. you should follow Gemma Correl, her cartoons and art are adorable and she is hilarious!
This might be the cutest family Halloween costume I’ve ever seen! How freakin’ cute is mini little Goldilocks?! The bear heads could be a fun group project to do and of course you could even use them as decoration afterwards.
