Dolce & Gabbana Tiara | Honestly WTF
I’ve always wanted to go to a ball. And the reason for that being that I’ve always wanted to get dressed up, have my hair and makeup done… and wear a tiara! Now I doubt that I’m ever going to have an occasion to do this (though it is on my bucket list so I’m never giving up hope!) but I can still make this ‘tiara’ inspired by Dolce & Gabbana. It’s an amazing combination of ceramic flowers, pearls and rhinestones, perfect for all princesses of all ages!
Matthew Williams Inspired Pom Pom Clutch | Court & Hudson
One of my favourite aisles in Spotlight is the trim aisle! I love pom pom trim the most. But as much as I love them I find it hard to think of how to use it. This clutch is perfect - a while ago I bought a plain clutch that could definitely use some pizazz! And I love anything by Matthew Williams so this is ticking all the boxes!
Miu Miu Inspired Gift Wrap | Ambrosia Girl
I truly love gift giving. I’m one of those people who tries to remember things people say through the year so I can get them something they love. Also I find it really hard to keep presents a secret because I get so excited, so I try and purchase just before the event. Haha! And I also love wrapping presents. I have a drawer full of ribbon and three different types of sticky tape! I love this inspired gift wrap - so pretty and textural. Is that a word? It is now!
Pottery Barn Inspired Wintery Wreath | Sadie Priss
I have a ton of decorations left over from previous years that I don’t want to throw away but I’m not sure what to do with. This is a great way to use them up and pretty to boot. In fact I think I have enough decorations to make about three of them!
Faux Snow Globes | Well Worn
If someone asked me what stores I would like imported from America to Australia, Anthropologie would be right at the top of the list! I would also add Old Navy, Mod Cloth and their Target. Our Target doesn’t compare. But back to Anthropologie - I adore their furniture and the styling in their shops. And I have to say, if I saw these in a store, I too would be trying to work out how they made it! I love the jewelry snow globes - like something you would find on a dresser of a sweet old gost in a Tim Burton movie… hmm. Does anyone know what I mean!? And you don’t have to shake them - they’re permanently snowy!
Christian Louboutin Inspired Purse | Carry On… Carry On…
Speaking of Christmas, how about this jingly purse for your holiday parties!? I’m a sucker for anything shiny (see: all previous posts!) and add noise and I’m set. As Amanda says in her tutorial, this is a made to order piece and is probably insanely expensive, but the DIY version is anything but. Perfect to add a bit of glitz to your LBD.
DIY Proenza Bracelet | Style Scrapbook
What I like the most about high-fashion inspired DIYs is that I can’t afford the real thing so I like making something that’s close to! This is an awesome bracelet and I’m loving the neon colours. I’m quite wary of neon - I’ve been stung before! Haha! This would be great with not only a casual jeans & top combo but also to add a bit of edge to a LBD. Who knew utility cords & climbing clips could be so gorgeous?!
Dolce & Gabbana Ispired Jeweled Embellished Shoes | ...Love Maegan
Isn’t it funny how celebrity can change your point of view?! When I first saw these shoes I was like…. ‘eh. They’re OK’. And then I saw Katie Holmes wearing the real Dolce & Gabbana version (can’t stand her as an actress but I love her style!) and I was like, ‘Ooooh, I like them!’. I’m pretty sure these would take hours to do, but if you like them, so worth it!
Selfridges Inspired Favours | You Are My Fave
These are so sweet, when I first saw them I just assumed they were from Selfridges! But no, these milk bottle favours and home made, using labels from the Martha Stewart line to decorate. I’m always on the look out for easy gifts to make as thank yous and this certainly comes under that category. Now I just need to get those Martha Stewart labels!
Kate Spade Inspired Cardigan | Grosgrain
You already know of my love or Kate Spade. In particular I love her cardigans and therefore I am in love with this Kate Spade inspired cardigan by Grosgrain! You can see the original version here. I think I really need to make this! Especially seeing I realised today that I have basically no nice jumpers to wear in this frigidly freezing cold weather!
Jennifer Behr Inspired Spiked Turban | Chic Steals
Studs! Spikes! Studs & Spikes! Haha! I’m crazy for Studs & Spikes!
Oh, sorry bout that. Got a little excited there. What a super cute head wrap. I would totally wear this irregardless of what others thought. Because this is one super tough head wrap. I think I need to bite the bullet and just buy some studs & spikes so I can start making some of these crafts I’m so in love with!
Luxury Jones Inspired Boots | Teresa Does It
I’m not really into cowboy boots, but after seeing these boots, I’m completely smitten. I think it’s because they’re covered in buckles, belts and shiny things! Can you believe that the originals are over $200 and there’s no guarantee of what they will look like!? Mystery boots! Teresa Does It is one my favourite new fashion DIY blogs and this is a great example of the great work she does!
Alexander McQueen Jacket | SHOWstudio
So this is an actual piece from Alexander McQueen’s Autumn/Winter 2003 collection! How amazing is that?! I would love to make something like this, but I think that it might be a bit more of an ‘Difficult’ piece to sew! I’m still at the ‘Amateur’ level. There are some other amazing pieces from SHOWstudio to download and create by very famous designers, so check it out.
DIY Dollhouse Chair Jewelry Tree | Dismount Creative
I have about five DIYs from Dismount Creative I want to feature but you know that too much of a good thing is bad for you! I adore this little chair tree. And because I can’t get to Urban Outfitters, I will have to make my own. I’ll just have to make it quickly or my niece will try and knick the chairs for her dollhouse!
Wood Bead & Chiffon Anthro Inspired Necklace | …love Maegan
Maegan always has the cutest DIYs, and I love the simplicity of this one. What is it about Anthropologie items that inspire craftiness in the blogging community!? I think it’s a combination of our love for all things fashionable and gorgeous, yet not wanting to spend a lot of money when we could make it ourselves! Haha! Anyway, I will be making this in mustard yellow to go with my gorgeous new bag that I got for my birthday, woop!
