At Home with Megan Charters | A Beautiful Mess

I’m loving one of the new features on ABM where they invite readers to share their home, and I have to say that i have been super inspired. On of my favourites so far is Megan Charters home. It’s so eclectic and fun. I truly adore that telephone box converted into a china hutch and that ‘You’re Weird’ quilt. There are some great ideas to steal here - the art work being held up with the hangers is great for a quick change and her table is actually made using this tutorial. Dorm Decor Ideas | Babble
I know I have a few college students following me (hello! Hope it’s all going well!) plus I’m sure there are those of you who share a house who would love to get some tips on how to decorate your room to maximise the whole area. I adore this room - especially that painting above the bed! There are lots of tips and inspiring images for you to check out here, hopefully some that will help you too!

Lace Lamp Shade | Add Some Paint
This lamp shade follows the same lines as the coffee table I posted earlier - you simply wrap it in lace, spray with spray paint and peel off the lace- voila! You’re very own designer shades! And the fact that you can get lamp shades so cheap from places like IKEA, you can change up whenever you want. And of course if you don’t like lace you can use any other kind of pattern - use some store bought stencils or cut out your own.

The Thin House | SW Curiosities

Is it just me or does it seem that the street view of this house looks so much smaller than the inside!? Though the inside isn’t that much bigger, but their use of space is amazing. I know that space in London is at a premium, but I don’t think I could justify spending almost a million dollars on a wee slip of a house! Click through to see more photos!

Woven Lamp | Poppytalk
I’ve seen lamps like this in stores for hundreds of dollars - why would you pay that if you could make your own for a few dollars?! I think this would also look great as a really big chandelier style ball. Massive impact for little cost, that’s what I’m all about!

Paint A Mural | Do It Yourself
How cool is this?! Not only do they give you instructions on how to do this mural, but they give you the template so if you are a neat freak like me, you can just transfer it and paint in the lines. People will all ask, wow, where did you get that beautiful painting from? ‘Oh, I just painted it myself’, you will reply, smugly.
