Paper Bag Lantern | Blush & Bashful
Now Summer is officially here, I’m borrowing bits and pieces for my outdoor space, but one thing is that I think that the mozzies are also organising their attacks on me. I always use citronella candles but they’re not the prettiest, so popping them in pretty paper bags seems like a good idea! May I suggest you also poor some sand in the bottom of the bag to secure the candle and reduce the chance of it catching on fire. But of course, never leave your candles un-attended!

I so love this lady’s dining room! I wish I could convince my Dad that it would look awesome to paint one of the rooms in my house black. Oh well. I guess I’ll wait til I have my own place! Anyway, onto the lantern. This requires a lot of time and patience, but trust me the effect is amazing. I did the same thing with a smaller ball and it is seriously just so sweet. En masse it is quite a statement - it reminds me of petticoats from Moulin Rouge! Probably the reason mine took so long is because I pinned mine (oh my gosh, my fingers, my fingerrrrs!) but this one is made with a hot glue gun, so much faster. If you’re looking for a focal point for a room, this is perfect - relatively cheap (er, cost not time cheap!) and amazing looking. I think that’s enough gushing. To the hot glue gun!
Modern Crepe Paper Lantern | Project Wedding
If you’re not into tissue paper pom poms or string lanterns, here’s a great alternative! I really like these a lot. You could go bright and funky with reds and yellows or like the ones pictured with pale pinks and white. Great for babies or little girls rooms!

Man I’m tired! It’s my first week back at work, I’m still recovering from a cold and the weather is messing with me. I wasn’t going to post tonight but I wanted to share a few things that caught my eye so I hope you liked them. I’m for serious going to make that Scrawf. Time to add some flair to my outfits! Haha! Anyway, to bed. Going to bed. Not going to watch another episode of Seinfeld. BED!
