Though it’s Autumn here at the moment, I’m still in love with all the Spring fashions and crafts I’m seeing! I especially love these nails from Maegan and their swirly, cloud like effect. I’ve never tried painting all my nails different colours, but as someone who adores pastels, i’m thinking I might have to try this!
Glitter Gradient Manicure | The Perfect Fit
I must have missed the memo about glitter tip manicures because it seems everyone at work is rocking this look right now! Though I like this with the red, the look I really love is with a pearly polish and gold glitter. It makes me think of snow globes!
Nail Polish Storage | The Beauty Department
All around my house you will find bottles of nail polish. The weirdest place I’ve found it? Next to my driveway. I think I painted my nails in my car, put it next to the car and forgot about it. Yep. Anyway, a storage box would be a lotmore practical and I’d be able to find the one I want without having to go on a treasure hunt! I also really like the way each bottle has the colour painted on top - a lot easier to work out which colour you want at a peek.
‘Welcoming Fall’ Nail Tutorial | Minted Strawberry
Minted Strawberry is fast becoming one of my new favourite beauty sites - she has the most amazing nail tutorials! I usually wear pink and black but I’m really loving this green/gold/black combo. Time to go polish shopping!
Polka Dot French Tip | Minted Strawberry
Here is a new twist on the traditional french manicure - a fun dotty style! If you don’t have the traditional tapes for your DIY, you can use tape or even those little circle dots you get for your binders! If you’re like me and suck at doing consistent dots, a friend of mine got a manicure with dots using a toothpick! Easy.
Herringbone Manicure | The Beauty Department
Wow is all I can say! What an adorable and fun manicure! I love when people have a mani with one fingernail in a different style, and this is a perfect example. OK, so it might take a little practice to be able to do this design but the effect is worth the effort right?!
Mani Monday: Cheetah Print | The Beauty Department
Mani Mondays on TBD are my favourite! They always have amazing DIYs that make it look so easy. If only I was ambidextrous then my right hand nails would look as good as my left hand nails. But you know what they say - practice makes perfect!
DIY Nail Polish | Delighted Momma
I’m sure we all have old shadows that we no longer use but can’t bear to throw out. I have a deep blue that I was sure would look amazing on me but I just can’t get the hang of smoky eyes so I’m going to have a go at this tutorial. You could even buy some cheap eyeshadows if you don’t have any you want to break up!
Diamond Tipped French Nails | Love Maegan
I love wearing black on my nails, even though my older family members see it as ‘Goth’. Yep. But I love it anyway and love this style with the ‘diamond’ tips (chunky glitter!) To me this style is more Chanel than Goth!
Sparkled Apricot Nails | Cupcakes & Cashmere
Just today I was saying I wanted to try nail art pens but I had no idea what colour to buy… I would love to get them all but at ten dollars each, I can’t really justify that! But after seeing this tutorial I think I’ll start with a pink one. I love that one glittered nail too!
Stained Glass Nail Polish Tutorial | Refinery 29
This was meant to be a tutorial for Christmas but who says you can’t have stained glass nails any day of the week?! The colours pictured are very Christmasy, but I would love pink, blue and yellow colours. This has white as the ‘lines’ but if you wanted to you could also go for ‘real’ stained glass and use black with bright colours over the top.
DIY Inspiration: Turquoise Nails | A Pair & A Spare
Yesterday I bought some black shatter nail polish and completely failed trying to use it! I had hot pink as the base colour and did the black over the top but I didn’t realise how quickly it starts to dry/shatter and…. it ended up a hot pink mess! But after seeing these gorgeous nails via AP&AS I decided to have another go with the shatter polish but with blue underneath and it looks great! I asked my cousin Laura and she said that OPI does a really good one, but Sally Hansen has a great one too. If you’re looking for something new and fun to do with your nails with minimal effort but maximum effect, have a go!
Peter Pan Collar Nails | The Beauty Department
A-freakin’-dorable! I don’t usually like themed nails, but these are just too too cute to not share! And they’re actually pretty easy to do. You will need to invest in some binder paper ring stickers, but I’m pretty sure that they will be an investment that you won’t regret! Well I’d love to stay and chat, but my nails need to get dressed…
Faux Diamond Tipped Nails | Love Maegan
Another nail tutorial! A lady at work had nails like this today, and I was smitten. So cute! This is so easy to do too, all you need is the black nail polish and chunky glitter polish. A nice edge to the usual black nail polish!
Bubble Gum Pink & Silver Glitter Nails | ...Love Maegan
I love painting my nails, in fact I have way too many nail polishes to count. But just plain old nails are getting a bit… boring. I love this little twist to the usual manicure with a glittery nail. Keep a look out in the future for more nail designs… because I have more!
