Though it’s Autumn here at the moment, I’m still in love with all the Spring fashions and crafts I’m seeing! I especially love these nails from Maegan and their swirly, cloud like effect. I’ve never tried painting all my nails different colours, but as someone who adores pastels, i’m thinking I might have to try this!
V-Tip Nails | Minted Strawberry
I’ve said it once and I’ll say it again - Minted Strawberry does the bestnail tutorials! I love this on because it’s a tricky pattern to do, but of course she makes it look so simple! Plus I love the colour combo she has used, but wouldn’t pink and mint look amazing too!?
Microbead Mani | Sugar And Chic
If I was living in America, I would basically spend my whole pay packet at Sephora! There are so many gorgeous brands I wish were available here, especially Ciate. If you see a new manicure trend, they were probably the ones who started it - have you seen the new velvet manicures? That’s Ciate! I wish I could get their caviar manicure set…but it’s $25! May I instead encourage you to follow this very simple and much cheaper DIY version that uses microbeads? You can get your beads in lots of different colours and use nail glue to keep them in place. If you’re not ken to cover all your nails in tiny beads, try doing the tips or even just one nail.
Glitter Gradient Manicure | The Perfect Fit
I must have missed the memo about glitter tip manicures because it seems everyone at work is rocking this look right now! Though I like this with the red, the look I really love is with a pearly polish and gold glitter. It makes me think of snow globes!
Confetti Nails | The Beauty Department
If you’re wanting to get in on the holiday spirit but not keen on wearing a jumper with a reindeer on it, try this festive nails instead! How do they get the look of confetti? With actual confetti of course! Top with a clear seal and you’ll be ready to party the night away!
I’ve never been keen on white nail polish, I always worry that it’s going to make me look like I’m wearing correction fluid on my nails! But with the addition of the awesome colourful leopard spots it is kick ass!
Jewel Tone Bejeweled Nails | Love Maegan
Going through my closet I realised for someone who loves pink I sure do have a lotof navy and green! I guess that’s why I love the jewel tones in this mani. I’ve never worn more than one colour before because I have had bad experiences before but this is so subtle and classy that I think I should try again!
I wish our office was one of those that dressed up for Halloween but because it’s not really as popular in Australia as it is everywhere else we don’t celebrate it. But I still love Halloween so I think doing something like these awesome drippy nails is the perfect way to covertly dress up!
Black & Gold Manicure | Minted Strawberry
Last night I decided to try doing one of those trendy coloured manicures with tape. But when I went to pull off the tape… it pulled off the polish with it. Dammit. So I loved this manicure but thought - I love it but I’m gonna screw it up! But fear not my fellow amateur manicurists, the lovely gold stripes here are actually made with tape painted gold - you just have to pop it on top and seal with some clear polish!
‘Welcoming Fall’ Nail Tutorial | Minted Strawberry
Minted Strawberry is fast becoming one of my new favourite beauty sites - she has the most amazing nail tutorials! I usually wear pink and black but I’m really loving this green/gold/black combo. Time to go polish shopping!
Polka Dot French Tip | Minted Strawberry
Here is a new twist on the traditional french manicure - a fun dotty style! If you don’t have the traditional tapes for your DIY, you can use tape or even those little circle dots you get for your binders! If you’re like me and suck at doing consistent dots, a friend of mine got a manicure with dots using a toothpick! Easy.
Sparkled Apricot Nails | Cupcakes & Cashmere
Just today I was saying I wanted to try nail art pens but I had no idea what colour to buy… I would love to get them all but at ten dollars each, I can’t really justify that! But after seeing this tutorial I think I’ll start with a pink one. I love that one glittered nail too!
Missoni Nails | The Beauty Department
OK so I would never try to attempt this myself, but if I was gong to a nail salon this is what I would want them to do! You might be more game than me, and if you are I would love to see the end result. This was made not only with nail polish (and a very thin paint brush!) but also with grease pencils! Weird but awesome.
Peter Pan Collar Nails | The Beauty Department
A-freakin’-dorable! I don’t usually like themed nails, but these are just too too cute to not share! And they’re actually pretty easy to do. You will need to invest in some binder paper ring stickers, but I’m pretty sure that they will be an investment that you won’t regret! Well I’d love to stay and chat, but my nails need to get dressed…
Faux Diamond Tipped Nails | Love Maegan
Another nail tutorial! A lady at work had nails like this today, and I was smitten. So cute! This is so easy to do too, all you need is the black nail polish and chunky glitter polish. A nice edge to the usual black nail polish!
