I know I post a lot of wall hangings but I think they’re a great temporary way of adding colour and texture to your wall. This one is a perfect example of both! It looks difficult but if you can cut out circles you can make this, I promise. Wouldn’t this be great for a wedding too? Maybe on a larger scale as a backdrop - gorgeous!
Ooh la la! Does your couch or bed need a bit of a girly touch? How about a little French style with this incredibly sweet Madam Cushion? All you need is a plain pillow, a steady hand and some sparkly sequins. Tres chic!
Nothing says Summer like popsicles (or ice blocks if you’re an Aussie!). If you’re having a pool party/backyard barbie/blank wall blues, then this fun popsicle garland is sure to brighten up your space. The secret? Pool noodles!
I’m one of those people who never has wrapping paper when it comes time to wrap a present. I always assume I have some in a drawer at home, and after 15 minutes of searching come to the realisation that… this happened last time. So I now have a file on my computer that has wrapping paper files so that when it inevitably happens again I can print some out quickly! I fell in love with this super pretty paper from Oh Happy Day - in fact, I’ve already used it to wrap a birthday present today!
Here is an egg-cellent (puns!) round up of the best Easter crafts from one of my favourite blogs Oh Happy Day! My favourites are definitely the Easter egg pinatas and the calligraphy eggs - make sure to click through to see all 12 crafts!
I have to admit, I’m pretty disappointed with the DIY adult costumes this year, but the kid ones are awesome! I saw the Anna Wintour one via Pintrest and fell in love - so cute, plus if you get bored you can read the Vogue mag!
Though Oh Happy Day suggests keeping these in your bag to hand out to friends on the go, (which is an awesome idea!), these would also make great grown up invites too! I’m imagining a pool side party with lots of glitter, pink plastic flamingos and brightly coloured cocktails. Maybe for my big 3-0 party next year?!
Oh Happy Day has put together an amazing round up of her paper crafts and I’m so inspired! My sister is having a baby shower and I’m thinking the giant paper flowers would be super fun to have dotted around.
My Uncle had a croquembouche for his wedding - a huge tower of profiteroles filled with cream and drizzled with chocolate and caramel. It was rumoured to be very expensive. But honestly, I would have prefered this version - with donut holes! Yum! Plus this is such a stunner - imagine pulling this out at a party! I would eat this entire thing myself…
DIY Your Party!
I saw these DIY party ideas via Dotcoms For Moms and couldn’t wait to share them with you! Bright, colourful and easy to make, they’re sure to add fun to your party.
Feeling creative? Why not paint this amazing floral tablecloth!? Big, painterly roses are so easy to create and will look fabulous on your table. Don’t be afraid to ‘get it wrong’, just think of it as your artistic interpretation!
I love the idea of having an Easter tradition of getting everyone to make their own Easter bonnet! And Oh Happy Day delivers with instructions on how to make the perfect ones. These combine everything about Spring & Easter to me - ribbon, pastel, flowers - like happiness for your head! Love times a million!
These are freakin’ adorable! So good to have with your coffee, or even with a chocolate mousse or ice cream. Now just to find a spoon cookie cutter…
Though I’m a grown up, I still think that these alphabet letters are still awesome! So comfy, soft and fun. These would also be great for a wedding - do your initials and use them for photo props!
Hang Up The Garland!
There’s nothing sweeter to decorate a space than a garland. And there are so many great DIYs out there that there’s a style to suit any space. Here are three of my favourites:
