I just got myself a seriously cute phone cover… that does nothing to protect my phone! Grr. And as someone who has a habit of dropping my phone like a hot potato, I need to sew something together to protect it from pavements, floorboards, tiles, and everything else I drop my phone on. And that little deer is super cute! Even if you don’t want to stitch it onto a cover, it would still be a sweet design for decoration.
Knock-Off Necklace Pattern | A Bit Of Sunshine
I have been seeing gorgeous necklaces like this in so many stores lately (like 10 & 19 here at Lovisa) but the high price tags are out of my budget! I normally look at items like jewelry with a crafters eye, the ‘I could make that!’ mentality, but this kind of necklace - nope, I would never have thought I could make this! Don’t be intimidated by this project - ABOS even lets you know the bead count for each string - it couldn’t be easier!
Charles The Plushie | How-Tuesday
I’m back into sewing mode - my poor sewing machine had dust on it. Sorry sewing machine! But now I’ve started again, I’m remembering two things: one - how much my back hurts sewing and two - how much I love sewing! As I’ve said, I’m a very basic sewer, using the knowledge passed to me by my mum and my Home Ec teacher, but anyone who can sew a straight line can create something as cute as Charles. I like that there are a few different faces you can try doing too! Too classic. Sew one up and chill out with him tomorrow night while you watch the Royal Wedding!
Painted Headboard & Free Download | Better Homes & Gardens
I found this headboard in a great set by Better Homes & Gardens. Not only is it a great idea, you can also download the pattern for the flower, so pretty and sweet for a little girl’s bedroom! I also love that this is clearly a very girlie room even with the blue wall - just goes to show it’s not what you put on the walls, it’s what you put in the room!
Wee Bunny Pattern | Wee Wonderfuls
Oh my gosh, how cute is this!? And just in time for Easter - I can’t think of anyone who wouldn’t love to see this cute little thing in their Easter basket. I’ve been trying to find non-edible Easter items for my niece - one, because she isn’t really a big chocolate girl, and two… because I don’t want her thinking that Easter is just all about chocolate! The Wee Wonderfuls website is full of adorableness, and her shop is just as cute.
Apple Picking Tote | Purl Bee
In South Australia you don’t get bags for free at the shops anymore, which I think is a great idea! I usually forget to take my bags with me, so I thought i would sew myself one (now I have the inspiration!) but I want one that is quite deep and wide, and this is perfect. I love the pretty linen colour too!
Madeline Mini Bloomers | Colette Patterns
I love Colette’s patterns, they are so French & ooh la la! And this free pattern is fantastic, whip up a whole ton in heaps of different colours and never wear run of the mill knickers again!
Plush Cupcake Tutorial | Fantastic Toys
How freakin’ cute are these?! I think I need a whole batch of these cupcakes for my kitchen, to inspire me in my baking. Check out the Fantastic Toys shop too, they have some great paper toys and ready-made plushies.
