Chain Camera Strap | A Pair & A Spare
Just like your favourite hardware-esque handbag, this strap will give your camera a brand new makeover. And it will give you more of a chic look when it’s hanging around your neck than your plain black strap!
Annie Oakley’s heart target, private collection, California, 2010
This image is from an amazing book by Annie Leibovitz called Pilgrimage. It’s going on my Christmas wish list!
Double Exposure Photography | Oh The Lovely Things
How gorgeous are these pictures? Usually you would need special photography skills to be able to create this, but with the power of Photoshop you can make these quite easy. Beautiful!
$10, 10 Minute Fold Up Studio | Shrimp Salad Circus
I know I have a lot of etsy sellers who follow me and as a seller myself I know that photography can be our greatest downfall when it comes to selling. Buyers need to see our products in the best light possible but not all of us have access to fancy equipment. This little fold up studio is great because you can take it where you need it and bonus: it doesn’t cost a lot to make.
SNL Bumper Photos Tutorial | Pugly Pixel
If you want to turn your favourite pictures into pieces of art, then Pugly Pixel is the place to go to learn! She does amazing tutorials on creating different effects, such as this one, the ‘SNL’ photo look (the pics they show between sketches/ad breaks). I love the retro feel of the pops of colour and the black and white. You can download a trial version of Photoshop here. Also check out her multiple exposure tutorial here and this brilliant ‘A touch of colour’ tutorial here.
Heart Shaped Bokeh | Globetrotter Diaries
I’ve seen this effect on lots of different pictures and always wondered how the heck they did it - I figured they did it afterwards, but apparently it’s called ‘bokeh’ and it’s quite easy to create! I don’t know a lot about photography, but GD says you will need a prime lens with a large aperture and a bit of math knowledge and then you’ll need some pretty lights to photograph! Of course you don’t need to do a heart - a star would look awesome, or even squares of triangles. Google ‘bokeh’ to see more inspiration and ideas!
How To Give Your Pictures A Summer Glow | Ruche
Ruche has some great photo tutorials but this one is my favourite. I love the dreamy quality the layers gives the pictures and it’s actually really easy to do (trust me, for me to say that it is really simple!) Now I just need some awesome photos to edit!
Giant Photo Frame | Lowes
This is one of those epically cool things that I feel inclined to make straight away! But um, it’s 8:30pm so it’s probably not the best time to be making giant frames. I would probably paint it in the same colours as this frame. Great for weddings, birthdays, holidays, times you want to pretend you’re a famous painting… the possibilities are endless.
Cinemagraph | From Me-To You
Have you seen anything so pretty? A pretty mix of vintage flair & modern technology. I love all of Jamie’s cinemagraphs, they remind me of the pictures from Harry Potter! How cool would it be to have these in a digital photo frame? Please have a look at the rest of her amazing pictures, you won’t be dissapointed!
Untitled | Chelsea Kissleev
Time for bed!
The photo is by my insanely talented friend Chelsea who is an amazing photographer. She took this photo in Cuba, such a beautiful city.Click through to see more of her photos.
Right. Time for bed. For real this time! Goodnight <3
Best Pet Portraits: DIY Backdrops & Angles | Photojojo
This is so adorable how could I not feature it?! I have about a million photos of my cat Sophie on my computer, but I think I’ll need to add a few more ‘portraits’. The balloon one is soooo cute, and I think because there’s string she’ll be more likely to comply - though who am I kidding, does any cat ‘comply’?!
I’ve been messing about with my hipstamatic and got this shot I love. It makes my messy room look all vintage and dreamy!
Yowayowa Camera Woman Diary | Natsumi
There’s something beautiful yet eerie about Natsumi’s photography, like an outsider alone in a big city, floating through life. I adore every photo!
The Sartorialist
Oooh, envy! I love to look at this site and get inspired. I also love his non-fashion photos, every picture he takes tells a story - an amazing talent.
