Pillow Pet | Go Make Me
How cute are these pillows?! Even if you don’t have a pet to immortalise in pillow form, there are plenty of adorable animal pics on the internet for you to use. I have seen these done in single colours like pink and blue which can make them a little more kitschy/grown up. A great project to get your little ones involved in!
Doily Skull Pillow | Born Again Creations
I used to hate doilies - my mum would put them under all her plants. Yikes. But now I love them (not under plants still!) on tops, in jewelry and on home wares! I love the naughtiness of having a doily skull on a pillow. I would put this on a pale pastel coloured pillow. Or even better, add it to a tshirt!
Anthropologie Inspired Pillow | Stuff Steph Does
There were quite a few shops in America that I wish were here in Australia - Old Navy, Bath & Body Works, Gap, American Target… the list goes on! But one shop I adored was Anthropologie. Though it’s probably a good thing we don’t have it here because I would be poor (but have a gorgeous house!) That’s why I love tutorials like this - I can still get the look. And this is so pretty - the mix of fabric colours is gorgeous. I ain’t gonna lie, the sewing is not the easiest but the finished product is worth it!
DIY Stencil Pillow | Wit & Whistle
We all have little phrases and quotes that help us through the day - for me it’s the quote ‘Do the thing you think you cannot do’ by Eleanor Roosevelt. At the moment it’s stuck to my door with a little piece of paper, but I would love to have it on a canvas or pillow like this. There’s so many different songs and styles you could do too - great for a kids room with nursery rhymes or a gift to a friend with a quote that means something to the both of you!
Quick & Easy Pillow |The Complete Guide to Imperfect Home Making
I love this pillow! But then again, I’m a sucker for ruffles. My bed is a bit of a mish-mash of brands and bits. But overall I’m all about the comfort, so if I have anything decorative on my bed it has to be practical too, so I like that this is from a normal pillowcase but with a pretty ruffle to it.
Monogram Velvet Pillow | Martha Stewart
I never thought I would say I like a velvet pillow but I really like this velvet pillow. I think this would be particularly nice in a pinky velvet to go with my bedroom. I’m pretty sure this would take a while to stitch but it’s worth it, plus you can download the monogram letters too!
Minky Cloud Pillows | Sew4Home
I’ve been seeing a lot of cloud pillows at the moment, but I’m loathe to spend a lot on pillows because my tastes change so quickly. But I do love this design, and I also love the word ‘Minky’. Would that be a good little girl’s name? Off track. What was I talking about? Yes, pillows. Wouldn’t these be great as massive floor pillows? Great for the colder days when you just want to chillax with a book.
Drop Cloth Ruffle Pillow | Ink Blots & Polka Dots
Who would have thought you could create such a nice pillow from a drop cloth?! You could of course make this pillow out of any kind of fabric, but I like the slightly rustic feel & colour.
Pillow with Rosette Clusters | How-Tuesday, Etsy
Etsy always has the coolest DIYs, and this is no exception. I usually hate anything orange but this is actually really nice, a richer orange. A great pillow for adding to the massive pile already on my bed.
